Cake Collection Policy
Please check your cake at the time of collection before leaving the store. If someone else is collecting on your behalf, please ask them to check and send you a photo while they are still at the store.
Our team is happy to assist with any concerns identified during collection. Many cosmetic issues can be easily fixed in-store; however, once the cake leaves our premises, we cannot be responsible for issues caused by transport, handling, or storage.
Please note: Any cosmetic changes or concerns that are not raised at the time of pickup will be considered accepted by the customer. Once the cake has been collected and taken from the store, we are unable to accept complaints regarding appearance not meeting expectations.
Collection Time & Delayed Collection
- Custom cakes must be collected within 2 hours of the scheduled collection time. Delayed collection may affect the cake's appearance and condition. Additional charges may apply for repairs or finishing, and this may result in further waiting time.
- Cake Orders with no advance payment: If the order is not collected within 1 hour of the scheduled collection time and no delay has been notified via WhatsApp, CakeGurus reserves the right to make the order available for public sale.
- Burnaway cakes should be collected as close as possible to the scheduled collection time. Burnaway image can be affected by moisture and prolonged storage. CakeGurus is not responsible for damage or deterioration resulting from delayed collection or storage.
Same-Day Cake Hold & Collection Policy
Same-day cakes may be placed on hold without advance payment for the requested collection time.
- A 15-minute grace period applies from the scheduled collection time.
- If you are delayed, please notify us via WhatsApp. We can continue to hold the cake when a delay has been communicated.
- If the cake is not collected within the 15-minute grace period and no delay has been notified via WhatsApp, CakeGurus reserves the right to release the cake for public sale.
- Rasmalai Cakes: Same-day Rasmalai cakes may be held without payment until 6:00 pm only. After 6:00 pm, full payment is required to continue reserving the cake.
Full payment is required to guarantee that a cake is reserved for you.
